I think producing art challenged me in ways that nothing else could. It fed all my creative instincts as well as my intellectual curiosity. I started studying art as a little girl when my mother sent me for art lessons. I loved to go to art museums with my father who encouraged me.
Ultimately, I went on to receive my BA in Fine Arts and my MA in Art Ed. from Brooklyn College in NYC. While training to be a professional artist, I was blessed to have the opportunity to experiment with numerous materials and techniques. This education empowers me until today to decide when I feel that certain materials will work better for a particular concept or series. In those instances I like to experiment and diversify.
In 2008 I became very inspired by the Father of Landscape Architecture Frederick Law Olmsted. I developed a series of collages and always put some fused glass into the work. Over the next few years, I was granted 4 one-woman shows that focused on these works including The Figment Festival at Governors Island in NYC, the National Park Service at Ft. Wadsworth’s gallery, gallery 86 in NC. and the National Landmark Bok Tower Garden in Fla. During this period, I showed parts of series in various galleries throughout the USA. I continue to exhibit these works from time to time and I continue to develop new works on the subject as well. To the right is a piece titled "Central Park," that highlights Olmsted's most famous work in NYC.

In 2020, like most people my awareness of climate change became heightened. I created a series of artworks called Hot Planet that addresses some of the issues associated with climate change. I explore the topic from a variety of subjects such as fossil fuel and forest fires amongst others. I try to add recycled materials to the artworks because this reflects the spirit of the project. The delightful cutting edge ArtBlog from Philadelphia showcased several works from the series that year. In 2021, Parts of the series were exhibited in the “Change Is In The Air Exhibition” at the Umbrella Tree Gallery in Concord, MA.

Like many others, I was alarmed in 2020 by the deep divisions amongst people that we were all witnessing. I participated in a public art program called "Papergirl." I designed a poster that boldly stated “Hate Is Not Cool” against the background of sharp blood red weapons. It was displayed on a public wall in Brooklyn.
